Sucks. We moved into this house 5 years ago and now we are moving again (better schools). What really sucks is the amount of crap we have accumulated over the years. 2 kids worth of stuff + furniture + car parts. I have so much car shit to move. On the bright side the new house has a basement that I am turning into the ultimate workshop. 2x more bench and storage space than I have now. Spending my xmas week vacation this year moving == teh sucks.

Tell me about it.
I've just moved over 500km with three cars and three pets. Bought a container, started packing stuff in and everything didn't quite fit. Two cars (both wagons) were packed to the ceilings only leaving space for the driver. The third car was shifted a month early.

Try going to college... Moved into my dorm last year, back into moms house over the summer, into my apartment this year, and might be moving in with my friend next year. I have a lot more stuff than most other students here tho, tools, computers, car parts, a 52in rear projection tv (very deep!), soldering/electronic test equipment, and a 400lb server rack. Dunno how I'm gonna move out of this apt, its a 1-bedroom, I sleep on my futon in whats supposed to be the living room, and the bedroom is a workshop/server room where theres barely enough room to walk..

Been there, done that.
The trick is to only have enough stuff that fits in your car. I had (still have) a decent size 4wd wagon.
Couldn't quite fit the matrress in, but the bed frame came apart and went in.

I used to move every year or less that sucked. Now I just have a household of stuff, kids furniture, ours... Plus I have to redo the floors in the new house and paint/floors in the old house. And try to rent out the old house.

Good times.

Dammm, Rolf, you have to move the Nightmare too!

And, to those who think college moving stinks, it has NOTHING on moving the accumulation of a lifetime of personal items, vehicles, furniture, worthless crap, pets, kids, etc...

I've actually started planning for my own death by trying to sell/git rid of some of my tremendous accumulation of junk/possessions. (And I don't plan on going any time soon...)

1998 MB E300 - 194,000 miles. Current/future mods: 7.5mm pump elements, Holset HX40 Turbo feeding Eaton M90 supercharger through custom fabbed intake system. Aeroturbine muffler, scratch-built 4" stainless exhaust. EGR eliminated, ECM recalibrated, modified rack position feedback circuit. Porterfield RS brake pads, Bilstein sport shocks, VDO EGT, oil and boost gauges.

2000 Ford F250 - 150,000 miles. Current/future mods: DP Tuner 3 map chip, scratch-built high flow intake, high output IDM, open circuit fuel system, ball bearing turbo, South Bend full metal clutch, slotted and drilled rotors. Autometer Sport Comp EGT and boost gauges.

I agree,
I moved 1400 miles last year, and right before I moved, I realized I had 1 driver, 2 cars, 3 small trailers, and 5 trailer loads of stuff. Any way I cut it, I ended up driving across the country a total of 3 times to get everything, even after selling a trailer and a car. I even looked into welding a hitch onto one of the trailers so I could pull two at once like a snake.

Ironically, that was still cheaper than renting a moving truck that could take all that stuff.

I used to live by Kiwibacon's rule of no more stuff that can be loaded into your current car. No more.
