Hey fellas, it's been a long time since I posted here. Anyway I recently bought a 2008 ml320 cdi. With a bunch of engine codes, I've googled and have seen others with the same codes but no answers on how to fix. Maybe you can help.

I'd like to send the Ecu out to Delete the DPF, EGR and the intake swirl flaps.  I'm thinking a couple of those codes will disappear after that but want to fix the codes that might remain.
Any suggestion or people that may have dealt with this and know what to do would be great!

Does it start and run?  How does it drive, lack of power / boost? Are the faults current?  There may be more than one problem... My wife drives one too, I hate that damn turd!

inlet port shutoff motor, maybe fuse too.  Is turbo inlet seal leaking down into a upward facing connector?  The dealer usually charges 6 hours +/-.  There maybe more EGR BS going on...

Yes I pulled it off yesterday and the connector is covered in oil. I seen a YouTube video where you can unplug it and put a 4k ohm resistor in the plug to fool ecu. I'm gonna try that.  Is there any possibility the flaps could be stuck in the wrong position cutting off maximum air?

Those engines react the same way by cutting fuel and boost for any little thing.  The shitty swirl flaps won't block much air, they are only there to mix the EGR because it runs almost constantly.  If you could only see the amount of crap that accumulates in those engines yet they still run with plenty of power.  There are 2 different style inlet port shutoff motors also.  I have no idea about resistors.  That engine sux!

So I fixed 7 out of the 8 engine codes. It was the swirl flap motor. I put a 4.7k ohm resistor in the plug and all is good, but I have 1 Egr code. P1408. Before I buy a new egr valve I wanted to see if there was a cheaper way to go.. whether it be a delete or someone knows how to make an emulator for it to prevent it from throwing cel. I also would hate to spend $300 on an Egr valve and it not be the issue... Any help?
