Hi people I'm new the forum!

My issue is I converted my 79 300sd to A 5 speed manual from a 300d using an m110  280se flywheel the problem is the stock m110 clutch won't hold the torque from the modified  om617 turbo in 3Rd 4th or 5th grears, can anyone recommend a good clutch upgrade, the clutch diameter  is 228mm at the moment I'm thinking a g wagon or t1 van clutch which is also 228mm might work can anyone confirm or deny if this will work before splash cash on a new clutch?

Not 100% sure but those clutches/pressure plates are the same to my knowledge.

That's a real bugger about it slipping though, I have a brand new stock 215mm one behind my souped up 617 so I better start looking for a better setup too :/

280GE came with a 240mm clutch however but you'd have to swap/machine the flywheel and if you were going to that length you'd be best off going for a proper performance clutch.

Yes I think they might actually be the same,  I took the clutch out today it was glazed I think there may have been some oil contamination when the clutch plate was in storage, so now I'm hoping a brand new standard clutch along with a resurfaced flywheel  will do the job properly, fingers crossed.
