Air leak ? Check your fuel pipes the clear ones go hard & brittle with age & split letting air into the system , also worth taking the fuel tank strainer out & cleaning it if it hasn't already been done

Does it always idle low? Id start by checking the overvoltage relay and it's fuse mounted on top. It is located behind the battery, red with a 10A fuse in the top.

Idles to low, check the overvoltage relay. If it's ok check the elr for power.

Elr is the red hoocky puck looking thing sticking off the back of the injection pump. It has a two wire plug on the top that controls the idle

Did you check the ELR yet Huh Operating temp is between 80-100C on the gauge.
With the engine running there should be a ground and some sort of power at the connector for the elr.
