Only just realised yesterday that the intake manifold & crossover pipe on this engine are plastic, I'm guessing these won't withstand big turbos, so what are the alternatives?

you can use aluminium 6 cylinder manifold and cut one port off.

The plastic intakes are actually pretty damn strong and don't conduct the heat anything like as much so I wouldn't dismiss it just because it's plastic. Course it depends how far your going and if you need to change the shape at all.

Not sure if the plenum is big enough though, I have an HX35 & an HX52, I've been considering using them together in compound, but might use just the HX35.

Anything to do with the 606 will be harder to get here than this engine was.

Do you think it can handle 3bars?

You can always trace a gasket onto some aluminum and make a plenum Smile

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?

Your the man that can find out Big Grin

If it wasn't such a pain to seal all the holes I would pressure test mine because I can't use it anyway.

If you cant get a 606 inlet and you need it to be alloy then I think you will have to make your own.

It will be tested in my 250tdt dailydriver! It looks like a good and strong casting, so let`s hope it dont seperate...
