I tried to install a .60trim compressor wheel last night and it fits great except for the compressor housing. I remember reading that others have done this but can't find the threads.
Do I need to get a different housing or is there a workaround?

You need to machine out the center of the compressor housing any good turbo shop should be able to do it

Thansk for the info. Took me most of the day calling around before I finally found someone to do the work. Only 5 hours away. I think I will be mailing it.

Got the .60 trim wheel installed. Really like it. Taking it to the dyno on Friday to see how much it helped.

I put it on the dyne and was expecting great results. The car seemed to have so much more horsepower but the results were nada. The car feels better but I think that's due to better throttle response and not pure HP. Any ideas what could be going on here?

You need more fuel to go with that extra air!! Right now its probably just building more boost faster, so it will have the same amount of HP but it will just come sooner. This is my theory anyway, I could be wrong

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

I definitely will be turning up the pump but I'm wondering if the extra HP is being used up pushing the bigger compressor wheel or maybe the waste gate isn't able to keep up and creating back pressure.
