Which 240D model years can be used to bolt onto a 617? I found a 76 240D manual. Will that work or should I try to find something from the 80s?

A 300d automatic trans mount will also work on the 240. Dont know if the SD mount is the same, but if your reversed the plate, the bolt holes line up. I did mine as a temporary solution, and left it on for about 6 thousand miles without issue.

It won't stay that way for long.

The 240D automatic crossmember is the same as the manual 300D.

The shifter linkage and DS will have to be modified for fit. I would get the DS done first.

You also need a flywheel and clutch. I just happen to have a set for sale.
