I have gotten my feet wet with Crude and kind of feel its time to step up to something bigger. Here is what I have in mind.

1997 5.9L 12V Cummins
Solid Block Year
P7100 Bullet Proof Mechanical I.P
No Computer Crap.
No EGR, No Cats, etc.
20MPG

Kind of how I like them.
Simple, mechanical and built to last.

Love the OM617 but I will never get used to its slowness! Its a ME thing not a Benz thing. Downgrade or Upgrade, don't really care. I just need something faster. If the Wagon is what u like make me an offer.

8/7/2011 (update)

Just found a local diesel race shop crew who is willing to help me get established with the basics should I jump over to the DARKSIDE.

I do have to agree with you about that year cummins being the best. Plus performance parts are cheap and plentiful Tongue

'82 300D -3" straight pipe, ALDA deleted, 3in1 glowshift gauge, HX30, egr-less manifold, A/W intercooler Big Grin
'14 Ram 6.7l cummins -G56 handshaker, wishing it was deleted

I like the OM617 but a 12V cummins would keep me happier. A power thing. Im certain however that the OM617 is more reliable.

Of course NOT,,I hate stacks, even more than CAI's.

That was just a quick pic grab to show model year of truck..Still not running into any 12V here locally. Im ok for now, if its meant to be then it will be.
