OM 648 rebuild - bqik - 03-09-2014

Hello

I have an om 648 in a w211.

I have the engine disassembled to rebuild because it lost oil and 2 pistons are KO.

I have to clean the walls of the cylinders and put new pistons.

the engine has 200.000km , should I change other items? as the chain? or connecting rods?

would like to know what mods would you do internally before assembling it.

my goal is 270-280 hp and 600Nm, do stock internals are ok for that ?

I've been modding cars, but just petrol ones.

thanks!

Big Grin

So, as this is the best forum found for Diesel tuning MB would like to know if you think it's necessary to upgrade internals to achieve 270-280hp and 600Nm

regards

Other people are more knowledgable than me but I'm pretty sure an OM648 should handle that easily on stock internals, 0M605s can do 400hp+ on stock internals.
