Rev counters... talk to me - hooblah - 09-29-2013

Im about to put my 606 into my 190 but ive hit a problem and I dont know how to get round it.
The rev counter uses pulses taken from the starter ring on the flywheel. Now I have 2 problems; I need to move the sensor because the starter ring on the 611 single mass flywheel isnt in the right place, and the flywheel has a different amount of teeth. The first one isn't a massive issue but the second problem is.

My old flywheel from my 602 has 164 teeth, whereas my new flywheel has 144 teeth. Due to this my rev counter will be wrong. Is there ssme way of correcting this?

Just an idea - you could use a rev counter from a w124 diesel and bodge it into the 201 cluster?

Why a 124 diesel?

Isspro makes a counter that reads off your balancer pulls if you wanted to go that route
