ALDA delete question - 83300d - 01-09-2013

Afternoon everyone. Hope the holidays were good to you and yours!

Today I received my parcel from mercedes source - fuel filters as well as a new thermostat - so I went out into the cold winter wind to get some heat back in my car.

Got everything replaced, and that ALDA kept staring at me so figured I was cold why not tear it out. Have heard some people say that it was a pain to get out, but surprisingly mine came out VERY easy.

Took the car out for a test drive and all I can say is WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Big Grin Pedal response is an amazing thing!!!

Anyways back to the question -- do I need to put a cap or anything where the ALDA came from? Looks a little open to the elements the way it sits.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

The old ALDA feed line can now be used to power a boost gauge inside the car: or cap it.

Make sure you're getting enough boost to match your unregulated fuel.

He means the mount. Never hurts to cover things IMO.

Ah, yup. Grab a rubber chair-leg end and you're all set for a dist cover. The loose nut can be easily removed as well, just take the c clip and spring off the alda rod, then remove the plate and unscrew the black bit. Reassemble with a new gasket.

Thanks folks - going to brave the cold weather and see if I can get my H1C off the Cummins manifold. Have the new injectors and NON EGR manifolds waiting to go on.

Just have to wait for the Dieselmeken pump now and it will be set.Big Grin
