WTB: 617 Air intake set up - Purplecomputer - 02-16-2012
Im looking for the 617 Turbo air intake. Im going to need pretty much everything, the hose, mounting brackets the air filter housing and hey if you want to throw in the actual air filter thats fine!
this is going to be used for my 240 turbo project.
let me know what you have.
Also I am not put off by a little rust as I will just sand blast and repaint it.

I can make you one for free out of PVC pipe as long you pay for parts and shipping. It would be like 27 bucks for the pipe and filter and a few bucks for shipping.

Using one of the round paper filter? That's what I ran on my car. Works great and way less complicated than the stock setup

Yeah its much simpler, and frees up valuable real estate in the engine compartment for stuff like an IC

I have an extra 617a air box... I think it's in pretty good shape to. I might have all the elbows and stuff that goes with it. How is $40 plus shipping? Let me see what pieces I have that I can send you and I'll get you some pictures.
Do you need an oil filter housing with the turbo oil lines and stuff attached? I have one on an engine I don't need if you want it?

Actually if that oil filter housing has the mechanic oil pressure fitting then yes. The one i currntly have is from a 300sd.

I have a very nice bracket with virtually new rubber bushings (x3) with the correct steel cups (x3). Will sell the entire deal for $10 plus whatever shipping is.

ill see what other memebers has and what others dont that way i can mix and match parts from forum members to make a complete set.
