442 vs 265 nozzles - Torkey - 12-25-2011

I recently replaced the nozzles in my injectors. Four of the nozzles were 265 and one was a 442. The 442 was in better condition than the 265s. Anyone know what he difference is between the nozzles?

Hi,
are you sure about the 442? Those numbers normally only go up to ~350.
Different nozzle manufacturer for the 442 --> different No´s?
Any other information available?

It is better to use the same nozzles and type for an engine than different ones.

They both appear to be the same manufacturer. Both have a funny looking 'H' on them. I'm assuming that is the brand stamp. Some other numbers are DN0SD240. This is on both nozzles.
Underneath the 442 there is an oval with the number 060. The 265 also has the same marking.
Thanks for your help with this

completely different injection characteristics, different flow, different needle geometry, different needle lift

I wouldn´t treat my engine that way Big Grin
try to put 5 equal ones in
