recently took on a project for a client having a 1987 w124 300td na as a base and a 1999 w210 300d om606 turbodiesel as the donor, both automatic .

Not decided yet wheter I wil swap al of the electronics and wiring loom from the w210 or just the engine with a dieselmeken pump and a olejefer controller for the 722.6 .eitherway want to use a mechanical injection pump.

got 2 questions, wil the transmision stil function if i run a ful ecu but converted the electric pump to mechanical and manual boost control?

And where can i get Olejefers controller and what are the costs and wich signal does it need to shift.

Just have to decide witch route to go and il start building the project and ofcourse the project wil be documented and posted on here

I would indeed definably go for the 603 dieselmeken pump. I still need to test mine but is better than electric. And they put out huuuuge amounts of fuel. I don't know if your aiming for stock power, but seeing that you consider a dieselmeken pump and the gear controller from olejefer my guess is that you are going superturbodiesel? Big Grin Which turbo are you going to use? where are you located in NL?

hi tito, Im located in brabant , close to tilburg verry close to the belgian border.
Deffenitly aiming on higher then stock power , but first make the swap and strip al the weight out of the car and get the new power and weight on paper through rwd,
After that we can experiment with power , I have a Ebay T04 turbo witch im gonna use for mock up and testing, but probably going to a twin scroll holset or precision. thinking of trying a compound turbo setup with the stock turbo and the To4 first or maybe a twin charger setup, my client likes the supercharger sound but want to make it a driving reliable car. its going to be a daily driver for 50.000km a year

Cool, What HP are you aiming for? I'm currently doing about the same thing. Compound with HX40s. Either charger or turbo I have not decided yet. DM-pump, BMW gearbox and so on. Looking for 500 HP.

Working hard on the swap. got both engines out. have to remove sls system because has a sepperate camshaft driven pump on the 603. and now mostly trying to decide witch pump to use. i know my.603 pump only has 5.5mm elements. im trying to figure out if a om606 na pump has 6mm

You don't need to remove the SLS , you can install a tandem pump in place of the power steering pump.I think 300TE's came with that pump

Bad news . bit of a delay on the project. it was a running car. but engine seized whyle idling. need to pull engine out and appart. probably not too much damage but a big delay in time and have to research. the cause of the seize
i pulled the engine from a running e300 w210 put new timing chain on. and it startes on om603 pump
it had a knock wich seemed too be comming from the head. sounded like a stuck lifter a bit.
I had the pump set at 16 deg atdc .

ive set the pump to around 12 atdc and then adjusted idle. first 15 seconds the knok was gone but then returned. i let the enginevidle a bit but qhitin a minute it shut ofvand crank was stuck.

im going to do a lot of headflow and valvespring work. so i need to research why this happaned so it wont happen again with the rebuild engine
