Anybody know if these rims will work with w126 rotor/caliper upgrades? The guy says they're from a 300E

http://fresno.craigslist.org/pts/2914246666.html

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

His response-

"Late model, 90s"

That's all, from this we can gather that the guy knows nothing about the conversion, or probably the truck. Suddenly less interested.

wtf model car are these from, or are they aftermarket? I've never seen any like them before. also I wonder what offset they are

http://fresno.craigslist.org/pts/2973158420.html

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )

I emailed the guy since hes local to me. He did not upgrade the elements. The numbers are clearly not true, you can tell because he switched to stock tires in the rear. That kind of power will eat most size tires.

On the other hand its a cool project and he got most of the data from here. With an upgraded pump you could see something close to that power. This is the same problem with another local user here. Everyone puts in lots of money making air and never into the fuel..

Alright awesome, I called to ask about them, to maybe get info on the offset or something, but no answer. I'll try back later
I called, the lady didn't seem to know anything about the wheels, and when she asked her husband he said they were stock mercedes wheels, so I'm guessing he doesn't know anything about them either. I'm debating whether or not I should go check them out or not Confused

Yeah I believe the price is for the set. I might call again tomorrow and go check them out. I just want some larger wheels than stock so I can fit w126 brakes in there, and the offset on the ones I got already are waaaaaaay off, so I'll need super thick spacers (15-20mm) and longer wheel bolts to make them work properly. If the offset on these is closer to stock I'll grab them and find some other use for the other wheels

300hp at the wheels. If anyone doesn't believe what i posted you are more than welcome to come see for your self. I will strap it down on my dyno and let you see for yourself. You are more than welcome to come drive it around. I'm putting everything i did to this car in the project post under 300td drift project. Maybe some of the thing i did will help some of you with you project. I know i got alot of very helpful info from this site.

That sparked my brain too. Cool pics in front of that plane. You'd figure the guy knows about spark plugs, maybe not.

In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)

I don't really know what the normal cost are. But w123 air dams are quite rare to find these days.

Oops, I meant to post that in the eBay section.

I think I saw a Lorinser W123 air dam go for the upper 200 range a couple months ago. It here in the US. That seems pretty reasonable to me all things considered.

Trying to sell my used transmissions before I go to college in the fall. One is very strong and worked really well for me before I did my 4 speed swap. The other is basically a core. I bought the SD one from a fellow member. 722.3 Transmissions

That's too bad your like 240 miles away. I'd take your 25 dollar core off your hands. I need bellhousing and cutting it off would be perfect.

BTW - I got that seat bracket for you. I'll get it in the mail for you.
