Ok, ready to replace the head gasket due to an oil leak to the timing chain.

I would like to experiment a little with the turbopressure so it might be wise to use another head gasket than original?

Anyone know which one? Any mods needed? Other tips to make this 603 faster, the cilinderhead has to come off so easy to do some mods.

Someone else will chime in her with more details but...

If I recall correctly, a 606 head gasket is MLS which has metal in it and can bus used on a 603 but some drilling has to be done first. I too am wanting to get a game plan ready for when I replace mine :-)

What is your engine setup and how much boost you use?

It's still stock, want to raise the pressure of the turbo and screw the ip for more diesel.
Maybe later a bigger turbo?

Because the head hasket is broken it might be wise to mount a better/different one.

Thanks for helping out a newbie.

Not need any thread when you have old and new gasket.

Jeemu, you said use VHT copper gasket in http://hevosvoima.com/foorumi/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=125

Where do you suggest placing it? Around the cylinders?

Spay the gasket on it. I disassemble gasket and layers and spray all layers.

So then we would take a 606 gasket and drill the appropriate hole out, and then spray it with this?

He said he actually seperates the layers for the headgasket and then sprays this inbetween. I think that is a bit overkill for my needs.

Jeemu, do you also spray the mating faces of the gasket with this stuff?

At firs we sprayed only on top and bottom of gasket, but then we started to paint all layers.

Here is sprayed only top and bottom layer. It glue gasket on the block.

I see more than one different hole on these gaskets when they're on top of each other.
