Hi

I have insulation on my exhaust manifold, the plan was to decrease under hood temp.

Do you think the isolation will increase my EGT readings?

My EGT is located pree turbine..

Please advice me with actions that can decrease my EGT..

Regards
Atli

Injection timing is a huge factor in EGT's as well as back pressure. If your injecting too late or your injectors are dribbling you will see high EGT. If your turbo is too large and you have problems getting it to spool, your EGT can be to high. If your exhaust is too small....

Hi winmutt

I have tried timing from 16atdc to 25dgr, the injectors are all rebuilt and tested, the exhaust is a very well open 3" but the turbine is big (GT3582R) and spools late and if I drive in to high gear the EGT rices before the turbine comes in. In full thottle with the turbine blowing 20PSI the EGT will till rice too 750-800dgrC. I would think a big turbine blowing 20PSI wold lower the EGT??

I have an AA intercooler but only 2" pipes too it, would you think WA intercooler and 2,5" pipes would lower the EGT and maybe water injection? or should I get a bit smaller turbine, What size do you recommend?

Thanks

I think a smaller turbo is a good start. 82mm is pretty big. Did you compare the map to others?

Hi Winmutt

NoI did not look at any maps, I dont know where to find them or how to read them. Smile

is 82mm the turbine side housing?
