my w110 -65 turbo
my w110 -65 turbo
Hi
I have a mercedes w110 that I have done some work to. And thought that I could share some pictures and info about.
Its a 190D from the beginning and have 55hpstock and I actually destroyed 2 rear axles so the first mod was to build on a volvo rear axle because in Sweden i can get aftermarkets parts and its more reliable.
the " new " engine is a om616 -84 that I have build a turbo header to and modded a intercooler and a Schwitzer s200 turbo on it.
The pump is a M-serie pump with 7mm pumpelements fitted by
Göran aka Dieselmeken and delivers 120cc.
the performance was ok when I run with a smaller turbo no IC and the pump mod with 15 psi of boost. but haven't tried with the new Setup
yet.
Here some pictuers on my rare experimental project hope u like it
The oilfilter adapter plate ( did make 2 ) tig welded by me
Filter housing fitting
Build a new tunnel with the w123 gear shift because original is a gear stick at the steering wheel
The volvo 1030 rear axle old picture not painted on this picture but are now
The Engine, more pictures to come
Very Nice!
Thats wicked cool!
That's not my car and I don't know what the body is called I just pulled a web image to show that manifold.
Did a w112 ever come with an OM?
Or was the w112 all gasser?

So you're saying the motor that mani came from is OM621 not OM615
All very old stuff
sweet car I'm building a w111 220s
And the Rajay turbo kit on my w123 240d is off of a 200d with the same intake manifold!

I found this on the youtube.com
I'm running 10psi with out a wastgate near redline on my set up and it still feels like it was when it was stock but I'm hoping to get some decent power out of it!
I think my turbo is to big and old it starts spooling after 3500 rpm and spools very slowly
Nice burnout!! How much suspension travel to you have in the back before the rear diff contacts the body?
Nice. You put a g80 locker in the Volvo diff?
Like the color and all around shape of this car.

That is a clean old benz, those are hard to find with the fins and I like... Nice work too.

Lars: Is that a w112 body..? Because I recognize the air compressor and that the front i much longer than on the w110

If it didnt repeat in history of mb engines, the OM613 is not a 220D but the 320CDI ;-)
that is a BEAUUUTIFUL car. very clean, and well setup.

I am putting together a W110 khombi . it had a OM613 220D from a W115 with fourspeed when i bought it but i have a better 240D and automatic from another W115 i am going to fit into it.
i like your remote filter idea . On the right hand drive cars like mine there seems to be plenty of room for the oil filter to remain in the stock position.
I am fitting a front axle from a W111 280SE 3.5 with the bigger brakes and torsion bar.
i have yet to make my mind up what sort of diff i will run yet. it still has the original 4.10 swing axle diff.
