Lost attachments.
Lost attachments.
I am finally doing something more permanent about all these lost attachments. I have narrowed it down to a bad upgrade on my part. Unfortunately I don't have a backup of these. I am going to write a script that will compare the DB to the filesystem and then issue a list of missing files and the username that uploaded them. Your help in getting this resolved will be much appreciated.
The Management.
Ok I have a very small list of lost attachments. Please post threads with broken attachments. According to my script only files missing from posts 4 (dyno) and 469 (5spd) are missing.
Just a few. Looks like the problem happened around November 2008 and the accepted code type changed.

Ah ya that was from changing software. Honestly I am too lazy to fix that. Maybe the newly elected mods can split the list and correct them.
Now attachments don't automatically load unless inserted into the post.
That one worked. Specifically, it was this thread that it doesn't work for me: http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/thou...t-602.html
There seems to be a bit of a rampant issue here. Many threads are showing images as external link attachments instead of inline. Ill see if I can track it down.
Yes, more and more are changing to it. Even directly posting to the thread body doesn't fix it anymore. I think it may be a server/forum software issue, not settings.
Well I change the setting from thumbnail too fullsize. I'm guessing the thumbnail maker is broken.
