Does anyone know if there is any difference between a non-turbo auto transmission and the one installed in a turbo vehicle? I would like to install a 1982 300D Turbo auto transmission into a 1980 300D non-turbo.

The non-turbo auto transmission is much weaker. They and the control linkages will swap though.

Then putting the Turbo 300D transmission in the non turbo 300 would be an improvement.
