I bought my 1985 300D Turbodiesel 3 years ago while in high school to use as a test vehicle for my biodiesel project. I fabricated my own 60 gallon processor and wash system. I ran it on biodiesel for about a year and half until I graduated. I fell in love with the car and vowed to keep it. Even though I constantly say I want to sell it when it angers me I still manage to keep it. Gotta love mechanical injection and over engineered everything
When I first bought the car off of the 5th owner in Tampa( well... third as it passed through both of her daughters hands), it was slower than a school bus. A day later I learned about the ALDA and such and she was back up to normal speed.
Modifications include
EGR and ARV delete
Boost is at 12 psi
ALDA Maxed out
15" wheels from a C280
Euro headlights
euro triangle
black grill
Black euro cloth on tex interior with rear head rests ( uber rare, scored it for $95)
4 channel sound system
two 10" JL's in the trunk with an eclipse 320 amp
Future modifactions/ work to be done include
repaint the car either anthracite or strip it to a bare shell and paint it black
17" Funnel spoke wheels
Chopped springs
euro bumpers
euro light wipers
remove the headliner and install a better matching color
VNT turbo
A/A intercooler
remove limiter
adjust the transmission
zender front spoiler or an AMG varient
I am also a very big Delorean/ Back to the Future fan so I plan on owning one of them there cars sooner or later
