They look like adjustable cam timing gears; very nice Big Grin!

I wonder what the optimal degrees (+/-) will yield after rolling road testing Cool?

If 500hp is enough that turbo is big for that. There go same turbo what i have. 65mm compressor and 69mm turbine wheel and 16 turbinehousing. What changes you gona do engine at you can reach that 500hp.

No. New 7mm gome pump. 170cm3

Its not just fuel what makes power. i think 190hp/ltr is good number on stock cams, or is it? Not seen too many 570hp 6syl dyno graphs.

100hp/sylinder. That will come there, just wait Smile

Im wery impressed of your dyno 190hp/ltr is wery goodSmile
I thought it was the fuel that limited for u to get 500hk

Very nice dyno output you have there; lots of area under the curve. You already have enough power for 10 second 1/4 mile (~400m) runs Cool

It is easy to forget this is a 2.5L 5 cylinder with that power output.

Do you have a video of the new dyno run?

Hi. Yes some people just see the max power, they dont think the engine size at all. I think allways what size engine is. Then i see how good tuner is. We filmed first dyno pull, but i havent had video yet.
I upload it yotube when i got it my own computer.

(03-14-2010, 11:16 AM)jeemu I went dyno today. Not much better but some.

Nice!!! Cool It may not be much better in the peak number, but it sounds like you've added a lot of refinement to it since the last pull (things like ALDA functionality).

What do you think your limiting factors are and why did you stop at 477? EGTs too high, nailing, max torque, or just experience?

Thanks for keeping us up to date!!

(12-22-2009, 06:37 AM)jeemu Timing is 16degrees advance. Dont know what it is in high rpm.

Sorry to bring this back up... but what method are you using to check the timing? Is this the method?

http://www.w124performance.com/service/w...1-8240.pdf

If that's the case, do you have it set to 16* ATDC or have you advanced it 16* so that it's now 0* ATDC? Or am I missing something completely?

The reason I ask is that in the 10mm element thread, shredator retarded his timing from 26* BTDC to 15* BTDC (BTDC since he's using a different measuring technique). I would think with the larger elements you would have to retard your static timing... Then again, none of my cars make 470 HP!! Wink

What is that? An adjustable wastegate actuator of some kind?

Would you mind explaining how you decide when you've reached the max power for that setup? I'm still curious why you decided that 477HP was as high as you wanted to go.

Thanks again!!!

Jeemu, Where can I find some fuel lines like the ones in your picture. Mine keep cracking.

(12-05-2009, 03:48 PM)jeemu
(12-05-2009, 02:37 PM)DervTuning It is not the intercooler or charge piping that causes the restriction, but rather the inertia from the large diameter compressor and turbine wheels.

I've noticed this as well using a Holset HX40 using a gasser turbo gauge, and would see a bit of vacuum upon revving the engine. It is more pronounced when the engine/turbo is cold. I would imagine the benefit is even greater with a larger turbo than the HX40.

In addition, allowing the extra air into the engine, without any vaccum, will feed more exhaust products to the turbine wheel, decreasing the time for the turbo to spool, creating boost faster.

(12-05-2009, 01:50 PM)Tymbrymi
(12-04-2009, 03:23 PM)jeemu You are 100% correct Cool

Awesome! Thanks for the info! Cool So I guess you've seen some benefit from it in your testing so far? That's very interesting since I didn't think the huge intercoolers you use would really pose that much of a restriction.

Smile
DervTuning is right. Big wheel Turbo spins "slowly" at low rpm, so engine have more air for breather valve and makes engine low end and turbo spooling better. This Master Power wheels are 65mm kompressor and 69mm turbine.

Here is few photo of the engine.

Stock lines won't crack for no reason at all. Usually this is due to poor pump mounting.. So, do you have all the brackets mounted between pump and engine?

My clip situation is a little sketchy. However I have taken the lines off and made sure there is no tension on them, they are all bent to fit precise. Ive gone through 3 #3's and 2 # 2's they all have cracked at the base. I posted about finding 617 dual line clips but got no response. The plastic 603 clips break to easy in my opinion. However, im still out of comission until i find a fuel line.

Car is worked fine. Some injector test is done on the dyno.

(02-24-2010, 12:51 AM)tomnik Jeemu,

how can a 7mm element make 170ccm??
Effective stroke has to be about 4.4mm!
Does Myna regrind the cam Huh?

Tom
I dont know. I just send the pump there Smile

Its the way pumps are set....

A certain quantity Per 1000 Strokes....

In this case, 170ccm/1000

So, by rough calcul;ation the engine will be burning 6 litres per minute at 6000 RPM under full rack.....!!

Wow that's interesting. What does it do to the dyno curve shape?
