We are chopping the springs on the race car taking 1.5 coils off. It is *a lot* easier than I thought it would be. Just make sure you have oil to quench the hot spring in.

Grinder disc. 1.5 coils was about a 2-3" drop. Mind you we had removed somewhere between 4-600 lb of crap out of the car
