I'm going to be putting a performance mech IP onto a 606 and looking to get the most possible torque. This will be a daily driver, so I'm not interested in fitting any turbo that's going to introduce more lag than is present with the stock 606 turbo.

An obvious option is to keep the stock turbo and modify the wastegate, a la dpuk's 1.4-bar actuator. I'm interested in looking at any alternative opinions. Can anybody recommend a good turbo or even supercharger that has demonstrated value on the 606 for low-end performance?

Take a look at Dieselpumpuk's hybrid turbo and his test video with a G-wagon. It works well at lower RPM.
