Hello I need your advice or if someone has already tested more with an om612. It's about I don't want to waste money on an idea unnecessarily.
I had a software modification on my G last year. the performance and torque was better but I got big problems with high water temperature, charge air temperature and oil temperature. After that the engine said goodbye so I tested where the weaknesses of the engine are.

First of all: I do not want to install another engine and do not yet convert to cp3 or c30 injectors because I want to test step by step where problems again arise. And the prices for C30 donnor too expensive for mileage over 300 thousand kimoleters.

Now I have rebuilt another engine and changed a lot about it.
Data Mercedes E Class om 612 with 170 ps (original)
Intercooler converted from water-air to air -air 3 times bigger!
Oil cooler converted from water oil to air oil
Exhaust system 3 inches.
Swirl flaps expanded.
EGR deactivated and locked.
4bar map sensor.

Now it's about the turbocharger: My question to you:
I want to have about 230 HP (Stock170) on the engine and 600 MN (Stock 400), but the whole thing should respond quickly and is an off-road vehicle that is used for pulling trailers, so it also runs for long periods under full load. So it is wise to have a Gt2259 with billet compressor wheel built because I have an original GT2256V and I also have a broken GT2359V from OM613 here and saw that it is possible to assemble it.
Is the exhaust side of the GT22 too small or do I get too much back pressure with my expected performance?
Is the GT2359V too sluggish in the response behavior in the plug an play solution without c30 and CP3?

I have a ML270 CDI OM612 and I plan to test a turbo off an OM648, I will post my results from that, probably in 1-2 months.

Oh hat the same idea! Now i send my GT2256V to a shop an he make´s me an GT2260V with light Turbine weel, billet Compressorweel and more efficient Vanes. Than i will try how it works with stock injectors!

om613 (gt23v) turbo goes almost straight to om612. Big enough to make 250/600. Stock fuel system can handle the power.

And it runs, the brilliant part is the MAF connector on the OM612 is the same as the VGT servo connector on the OM648, and with the way I relocated the servo the wires were the right length too. It is impossible to fit the servo in the stock location below the compressor and retain the stock air box due to alternator clearance.

thats a nice build. What do you mean, does the OM648 works good on the OM605? And if it's possible to handle them with your Controller?

Yes I think this turbo would work well on the OM605, and the DSL1 can control it.

I think 250 horsepower is realistic with the stock 648 charger. I have some base settings that should be a good start to operate it.

That sounds like a lot of fun. 250HP with high Torque up to lower rpm's.
I think thats the solution where I'm looking for.

Om648 is lot of work to fit in om612. Om613 turbo is way easier to install. In addition  om648 turbo is electronic controlled and om613 vacuum controlled. Om612 is stock turbo is vacuum controlled too.

Hello,

the last day's I have take a look for an OM648 charger. As I can see, the inlet flange look's similar to the OM605 manifold flange. There is also a triangular flange, maybe with an other skrewpositioning.
Is the 204HP charger the right option?
