Hi all, planning on fitting an OM606 to a 903 Sprinter. I know an OM605 will bolt straight onto the mounts as it's essentially the same block as the 602, but wondered if anyone knew if the mounting points are the same distance from the bellhousing on the 606?
I plan on using an unfacelifted sprinter, but may end up using a OM611 2.2 van. Does anybody know if the mounts are in the same place in these vans, and is the bellhousing pattern the same?
Many thanks, Jack

Mounts differ in the cylinder nr of engines and chassis they were fitted.
In your case 606 does not sit in 602/5 mounts. U got to source trhu models wich one fit. Or build one your own.
Same for CDI engined cars ... just cdi engines use diff mounts .

Do you know if there are any mounts available that may allow an OM606 to be fitted into a Sprinter 312 that had OM602?
I thought it may be the case that the mounting flange on the block was the same distance from the bellhousing flange on the 605 and 606 as they are quite close to halfway along the block on a 606 and have two different positions.
In a w124 for example that came with both 5 and 6 cyl engines I assume the mounting point on the body is in the same place, are the mounts themselves different?
Can anybody tell me if an om60x engine will bolt up to a Sprinter 611 gearbox?
Thanks

Judging by these two pictures the mounting point is the same on both engines, directly under 3rd cylinder from rear, allowing the 606 to sit on 605 mounts?

Mount arms differ,
606 fit 611,12 13 gearboxes 648 differ from others. 611 is 716 gearbox. Compatible with most 717 boxes
