Crank case vent tube and cone filter
Is there a sticky or popular thread on various air filters used on the OMxxx? Mine is specifically an OM605 without the MAF.

Feel free to direct me to existing threads. I've searched this forum using all kinds of terms, searched Google/images, etc. and can't seem to find anything definitive.

On my OM617, I deleted the big airbox and stuck on a cheapo oiled cone filter with the oil feed line jammed through a hole in the front of the filter. Pretty ugly but seemed to work ok.

Thanks,
Jon

Hi Jon,

i m running a 605 in 202 c class with oem airfilterhousing. I did some mods to increase the flow.

If u have the c klass filterhousing, thers a modeled pipe behind the headlight. Cut it off to get a big intake hole.
also get the rubber under ur headlight aperture away to get more fresh air behind ur headlight.

How does it sound? I’m a sucker for that turbo whine :-) even though it probably has no bearing on power.

Thank you for the suggestions! I’ll have a look today and try to see what you’re describing.

I’ll also PM you about your setup w the T04e.

Johanness

This ‘Filtereinsatz’? Cut a hole here?

And the second picture, cut this as well?
