Red bar is W210 16.5mm I had used on my 87 300d. Black bar is new W210 E55 bar, 20mm.

Nice...it's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like there is no provision/notch for the SLS arm on the new one?

W123 Mods: 4 speed ** manual climate control ** '85 Kalitucky intake ** manual windows & full tint ** Euro headlights retrofit w/bixenon projectors ** 4 brake light mod ** Vogtland 50mm drop front & Lesjofors S600 drop rear springs ** 16" rims ** late w126 brake spindles, rotors & calipers ** full suspension rehab ** Bilstein HDs ** AL129X alternator & 1/0 starter and charging cables ** 300GD clutch/flywheel ** AFCO 80103N radiator & Earl's 41610 oil cooler ** custom block-off plate, remote oil filter & t-stat ** MW IP w/ tomnik's 6.5mm 'Holly' elements **

S124 Mods: 400E Rear subframe ** SL600 Brakes ** Late 300E 210mm diff ** SLK230 6 speed ** 17" CLK rims ** Vented RF Fender ** Facelift Hood, Headlights, and Lower Cladding **

Yah that's my issue also: getting a thicker bar that will work with sls. The 500e rear bar would have been perfect, but is now NLA.

It's either this w210 e55 bar or the one from the w211. I think maybe an e430 wagon bar might also work.

OK so the e55 is about 21mm and the w211 looks like 18mm. I'm guessing 18mm (500e diameter also) is enough for sporty street driving.

I bought the 211 AMG one. Will see how it fits. I think I will have to bend the ends in a bit.
