Hello,

Much later than anticipated, since I had quite a few mechanical (including gearbox restoration) and electronic issues to fix on my w140, but I have finally arrived to the point  where I want to start working on engine and pump, as I understand, is at the core of everything, so I plan to start with that. I have also lowered my HP goal to 350 hp.

I read in an older topic in this forum that w140 has an electronically controlled pump, but that a decent ECU specialists could do a proper remap so that everything works good.
I saw this video, where dieselmeken had just changed the pump in Mercedes that has an electronically controlled pump.

I have found a bosch certified diesel service, with the right equipment to modify and upgrade the pump, and I was wondering if it's possible to purchase the pump elements seperately, since ideally I would like to do the modifications locally?

Also which turbo would you recommend for this HP ammount? BorgWarner 200sx (recommended to me originally), would most likely be an overkill for this hp amount?

What kind of injectors would you recommend?

And after receiving car for a full engine diagnostic, I'm in need of removing EGR, how should I best proceed with this? I found this kit

Also, please do note, that I'm not a very mechanical person, but I really love the concept of "super turbo diesel", any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

350hp is attainable with a remapped ecu with egr turned off also.
Youll need 7.5mm elements and a hx35 or similar size to get there.

Swapping the elements will definitely need to be calibrated otherwise it will not idle correctly and hunt along with
delivering each cylinder different amounts of fuel
