I use a gatorade bottle filled with fishing line; the tube goes all the way down to near the bottom and then a several smaller holes are drilled in the bottle near the top.  The vapor has to filter thru the fishing line and it condenses on it.  Make sure you have enough airflow/holes otherwise it'll choke your engine.  I have to empty the bottle, well, never.  Over 5 years and it had about 2 ounces of oil in it. This is on a modified OM617.

Why catch the oil? It will burn nicely in the engine. Problem solved.

There is way too much air flow to let anything more than a microscopic film of oil cling to the sides of the passages.  Not a problem at all.  Also, you get a free boost leak detector, since that film of oil will leak out anywhere that there is a boost leak.

Amen to that. That’s how I found my pin holes in my new ally air intake plenum

I think it will be one of those things where people are for it and some against it. I spoke to some local performance shops and again some were for and some against it. So I think I don't have a race car, I will save the cash and not run one and get a free boost leak detector.
