Hi all  so before  some of the members here get frustrated or annoyed at me i just wana say that i did try to search and educate my self but still have questions so i thought i would ask ...

So im new here and New to the diesel world never owned a diesel car , I live in Ireland im 27 and im currently driving a w211 e200k
its kinda slow and thirsty so i wanted to try a diesel preferably 0m605 because of the road tax, i know that people achieve +300 bhp out of them  and they are still return relatively ok MPG also i hear they are more reliable than what i drive at the moment ...
so there is a W124 250D  that i found its a non turbo i wanted to find out about its power capabilities being a N/A engine , what can be done to it for power increase i know that Dieselmeken and Dieselpump uk can modify the pumps but what else must be done the N/A engine to reach 300-400 bhp
At the momemt there is only N/A engine thats available to me so i wanted to know what are my options as oppose to the 250TD engines.

Thank you Smile

the na vs turbo 60X engines mostly just differ in the rods. they also don't have the piston oil cooling jets in the block. you can get the turbo MLS head gasket and rods and pistons but then you would have to drill and tap the block for the squirter mounts. all told unless you want to limit yourself to 200-250hp i would just chase down a turbo engine.

85 300D om617: 8mm M pump 175cc 5200rpm, holset he221w @ 30psi, large A2W ic, compounds on the way.

As far as I know all twin cam diesels 604-605-606 have oil nozzles. Somewhere 94-95 they just changed from bolted to pressed in ones.

idk on the early ones. i did a front main on a 95 300d w124 NA 606 and it didn't have any but it did have the pads to mount them by the bores. there could be a split in production somewhere im not entirely sure. also we only got the 606 in the us so im not too familiar with the 604/5.

Just put this one in bud. Cheap enough. Saves messing around trying to turbo one.

"Some assembly required"
That engine is missing a huge number of parts. Most needed before even testing whether it is good.
