So I bought an OM648 to get the sump and oil pump for my OM606 land Rover project.

Is there anything worth taking off it before I scrap it? Anything that fits on the 606 that's an upgrade?

The whole engine is an upgrade to the 606. But otherwise nothing is of any value to a 606.
If it was a working engine. The parts have a bit of value as used parts. Injectors, high pressure pump etc. are really expensive new. Like thousands of dollars new. And the rail. Turbo charger. everything pretty much.

It was bought from a breaker in the UK as a running engine.... but it hasn't got any ancillaries.

I'll uncover it and have a look at what's left on it. Would it be worth stripping the head off it for example?
