Hi all,

Nearly one year reading, but this is my first post ever over here.

I´m O´Teunico, I live in Galicia, NW Spain, and I´m the proud owner of an Opel Omega 2.5 TD and a 1983 Santana built Land Rover.

I have at home an ex e28 524 tds Bosch VE pump and have located another Omega as engine donor an a Bertone Freeclimber as gearbox donor.

The idea is to do an M51 powered Land Rover, with camper conversion (tax/MoT advantages here in Spain) and full axle/suspension upgrades. It´s going to be a slow project, estimated 5 to 10 year for full completion and road legal certificate.

And here the questions...

Will an ex Iveco Eurocargo 180E28 Euro 3 HX35 be as good as an ex Cummins one?

12mm plunger will do 200-220 hp, what about 11mm or just readjunsted standard 10mm? What are the power levels that each could deliver?

Head cam, 3 mm enough or 4mm better?

Chinese head/plungers are any good or just rubbish?

The Land Rover will be used for local club events, wich include looooooooooooong firelines. I don`t need a doughnut machine.

Thanks in advance!
