I have been digging around for information on the 606 swap and have some questions.

What I know

Om606 will bolt up to m102 5 speed

M103 front coil springs are needed

What I want to know

What engine mounts to use

If PS pump should be swapped over from m102 or the om606 pump used instead

What the fuel sending unit should be (w201 w/ om601?)

Should I use the glow plug harness from an om603s or om606?

1. We used w210/om606 mounts, and cut the bottom 10mm off so the mount was flush at the bottom, this was for the cam cover to clear the bonnet, but this was with 722.6, don't know how/if your m102 5-speed needs to be in a different position (would need to measure engine mount centre bolt to bell housing flange dim.

2. 606 ps pump is designed for rack with different pressure, you'll need a ps pump designed for a rack, hopefully your stock 190 one fits, we haven't tried that yet, hopefully though..

3. Fuel sender? You mean fuel pump? om601 will have lift pump on IP just like 606, use stock 606 one. You will have to delete the stock in tank pump in the 190 if you do this.

4. OM606 glow plug relay is CAN, we opened ours and soldered a wire direct onto the relay, this will be activated by a switch in the normal manner.

5. For engine kill, get a stock diesel 190 ignition barrel for the most elegant solution (has vacuum switch in barrel for kill)...

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.

I haven't purchased a car yet. There's one local that I'm eyeballing but I wanted to be pretty certain I can use the 5 speed, otherwise I would get an auto in my preferred color.

3. I know the 606 doesn't need a fuel pump, just curious as to what others do to get rid of it.

4. So I'm guessing a mix of om601/om603/om606 parts would be the cleanest way to make the ignition/glow plug and kill.
