I'm going to put an OM606 with 722 into a Volvo 6X6 truck.  To do this I need to use a MB 4X4 ML auto so that I can attach a transfercase.  The transmission guys here in Australia tell me that I need to find a comaptible ML 5 speed auto due to the possible differences in oil galleries etc between the two.  So my question is which ML 5 speed auto do I need to find to mate to my OM606 bell housing?  Or alternatively where can I find this information?
Thanks
Nick

Depends how you going to connect transfer case.
ML has transfer case bolted to tranny. G class has regular tranny and propeller shaft to transfer case.
270CDI bellhousing  fits om606. You can also change bellhousings.

G class tranny:

Perfect!  That's exactly what I needed to know hents99. I'm using an adapter plate and a custom shaft to join the ML box to an LT230 transfer case but I wasn't sure about which version of the ML I could mate my 606 bell housing to
Thanks again

There are other options that you could explore, like using the transmission/transfer case from a Ssangyong Musso 2.9L OM602, for example. They used a Borg-Warner T-5 manual 5-speed with OM60x bellhousing in their 4×4 trucks. Idk what automatic transmissions they offered but if it was mated to a OM602 it'll fit your OM606. They may have transfer cases that'll work better than the ML series also, but idk for sure.
The terms "married" and "divorced" are used to describe how a transfer case is positioned in respect to the transmission. I'm dedicated to using a divorced NP205 behind a 2WD manual for added flexibility on my Jeep build. That's just me though.
Good luck and happy hunting!

Thanks for the additional options I'll have a look at those as well. On my conversion I need the transfer outputs on the right side to line up with the diffs. I'll post some photos when I start assembling the bits
