I had to change my oil cooler lines and of course the cooler threads stayed in the nut on one of the fittings.  Angry

This is how I fixed it..  I cut off the striped threads and machined it flat. Then taped it with a 5/8-11 tap.  Then I made a brass male to male adapter with a class 3, 5/8-11 thread on one end and a M22X1.5 thread on the other.
