If one were able to get a few pallets full of om605's both turbo and n/a...
Do you guys think there would be a market for them here in the US?
I know om606's are fairly common here with .910's going for $850-11/1200 that aren't trashed out and .912's going for a little more and .962's a bit more yet, maybe $2k for a lower mileage turbo motor...
What do you all think people would be willing to pay for om605's?

I feel like they'd be great swaps for w201/2's, w124's and possibly sprinters etc..

I'd love to put one in my 201 project instead of the 606, hopefully less to no cutting and stuffing it in.

1998 w210 e300 TD: egr delete, muffler delete, amg 18s, I love this car!
1995 w124 e300 diesel: bolted on junkyard w210 turbo.. yes you can "easily" boost your om606na! RIP
1991 w201: putting the om606 na to turbo into this. Not enough hours in the day!

I think people would be interested in them for swaps into tacomas/jeeps etc.  The shorter length would save all the hassle the 606 causes.  the 605 is also more powerful than the 617 that people are always putting into the jeeps/tacomas anyways.  Let me put it like this, I definitely would have picked up a 605 if it would have been available.

It depends on how much paperwork you want to do.  Some states say "It's a diesel? You're emissions exempt"
Some say "The engine needs to be newer then the chassis"  Others say "it just needs to pass emissions for the chassis year, we don't care when the engine was made"

I've heard of people changing the registration in a relaxed state, and then transferring into their home state.  Gotta do your homework, there's always a way!

I imported one for my 124, its was a lot of work in the way of lining people up. I probably wouldn't bother again

I need an extra 606 head and manifolds sent. But could do the whole motor. How much does shipping run again?
