Dear crazypeople

This is my 2nd  (actualy 3rd project) on OM603 and OM606
First it was W124 300TD estate that I purchased just to kick ass of a guy that was beating my 280CE Carlsson replica thanks to his diesel engine 3% handicap, automatic 3% handicap, power to weight ratio in classicautocup.pl track day event.

I purchased it, I kicked his ass by 2 seconds :Smile and had no idea what to do with a 1200 Euro car.


I found you crazy people and I fell in love with Holsets, T3 flanches and Dieselmeken elements in my pump.

I installed HX35 , and modified Injection pump with correct  elements.
The car had a slipping gearbox, but on a highway it was a blast , 80-180 km/h in 10 seconds,

I tried to sell my daily W210, but ....
The W124 was sold faster than my daily W210 270CDI. So I had to settle for 270CDI.
But I was already infected.
In started searching for a OM606.
At the begining I wanted to istall turbo on it and put it in C124 , or other chassis.
But... I deciced that i will buy and build the ultimate FAMILY ESTATE DAILY DRIVER

I found a rotten (floor, i didnt notice it when buying at 22.00 for 1500 Euro)
W210 1996 on 18 inch wheels.

I did put HX35 with WG inside, kept stock IP pump
I chiptuned it ... i struggled with maps,  But thanks to Sean, I finaly had a pleasure of driving the car without errors.
results of a stock IP -top speed  260km/h top speed, and 27 psi of boost, and acceleration that allowed me to have fun with cayene, panamera, and all BMWs ...
Not to mention Adi  S6 with box on the roof .
I took the HX35 from it and moved it to "the Italian" below, and returned in "rusted"to factory exhaust, 
I will not pay insurance anymore and deregister. With so much rust noone will pay me 1000 Euro, and I could yse spare Engine gearbox, drivetrain in the fututre. It will stay for parts in my posesion, never to be road legal again.

Than I purchased for 900 Euro W210 300 TD 1999 with a very minor front damage
Lamp, bumper and fender and hood, and 15 Euro for a mechanic to work on lamp mounting points.
The car comes from Italy and is dry as peper.

I installed water bypas from waterpump to 6th cylinder
This time I also modified the EDC pump with 7,5mm element.
It was set to give 160ccm af full rack travel, and 10ccm at idle, 1,95V on rack position sensor. As Dieselmeken instructed.

Now, The pump is installed, and winter hit Poland hard. no conditions to test the car
The car is fast (ABS dont work, dont know why, yet) spins wheels on dry cold tarmack at 60 km/f on 2nd gear , its scary ...
smokes alot because the map is to rich.
No more testing with this weather, fitting brakes,I'm  afraid of the car with no traction control,
Also ,  I dont want to put salt everywhwe by driving in winter 

I also upgraded the brakes to CLK500 330mm 4 piston Brembos.

16 inch steel  wheels\rear 245 on 8 inch rimm 20mm spacer.
16 inch steel on the front, 20mm spacer clears brake caliper, but I am afraid about fender with 16 inch 225 tire. I will try 15mm spacers front, should clear calipers.

I instaled 3 bar mapsensor (Sean said he modified ma and voltage linearisation)
I instaled Boost gauge up to 3 Bar boost
I installe EGT temperature gauge , but id does not seem to get up from 200 degrees ... broken ?

Im starting this thread because I cant wait till i drive it.
Im going to NZ in a month for 2 months  so probably on 3 may I will get to drive it.

I belive with HX35 with WG closed, and 160ccm capable pump (100cycles 16cm - 1000 cycles 160ccm) i schould have more power Smile


When camshaft is at 0, on the crankshaft is 2.5 degrees.this according to mechanic means the chain loose 2.5 degrees wenn tension. If injection pump is half way between camshaft and pulling crankshaft  this means pump has 1,25 degrees delay. 

Thats is why engine was set  at 12 degrees after tdc when we installed pump(not dieselmekens required 10). To compensate loose chain.i belive it still shoulb be 0.75 degrees faster.

Pump is adjusted on the bench to 15 degrees(not dieselmekens required 16). My mechanic sais to compensate this  we can now adjust pump up of 10 degrees (11).

Is there an error in this calculayions?

Sean , Booost goes to 2 bar and 5500rpm are max

I have exact same issue with chain stretch! I will be timing crank to correct degrees + stretch degrees then insert IP locked to counteract stretch.

How is the trans holding up in this? Since you're running an EDC pump I'm assuming it's the stock trans. I would've thought it would have gone bang with 7.5mm elements!
