Due to having a catastrophic failure on my 83 300sd, I want to make sure my injection pump is still timed correctly with crank and cam.

Wanted to know how to do it? Cant seem to find much.

Thanks

for the cam timing just look at the marks cam/cam bearing support.
What kind of failure? The IP timing should not get lost except the chain jumped.

Tom

The vac pump broke and a piece of it got stuck in the chain and made the cam into 3 pieces. The timing chain never broke but it did take out a few slides and rails.
I have rebuilt just about everything.

I wanted to see if it had jumped a tooth or not. How do I check it?
