Hello Everyone,

Quick turbo question:

How would these two turbos spool (or how quickly will boost “come on”) compared to each other?:

(I think I have the Garrett (OM617a) specs correct)

Funny timing, I have had my eye on the 2967 myself for a few weeks. I am planning on building one myself from another turbo, but it will basically be the same specs.
FWIW, my Hx30 vs stock T3 on 603 spooled pretty similarly...the Hx30 turbine wheel is pretty big but the 6cm housing helped with that. The 2967 has a higher trim turbine wheel and while smaller, I would guess (and only guess) that performance should be similar to the T3. Plus, the turbine will flow more, the housing is bigger, and that wheel can flow enough for 260 + hp. Depending on your goals, a 2863 may be fine too

The GTX2860 spools quickly and evenly.  Here's a dyno graph showing the build up of boost (bottom graph).
