Has anyone ran a 722.3 torque converter in a 722.6 gearbox? Does it work? If so are their drawbacks? Is it less efficient?

Thanks!

Ok, So no. It does not fit. But really why? The 722.3 does not have tcc lockup and the splines are different.

My friend has w124 om606 na 100kw converter in a 722.6 gearbox, I'm not sure if w124 100kw has 722.3 or 722.4 but splines were the same and it's running.
I also don't see any point of using it, take one from 722.6.

There is no way it fits. The input shafts are different. I do not know about the spline count but the shaft diameter and the length is different at the tip.

Friend had engine with vacuum controlled box from w124, he bought 722.6 box without converter and used converter from w124. It's smaller in diameter but it fits to splines and flexplate bolts. I looked catalogue and OM606 on w124 has 722.4 box, I don't know much about older boxes so I just say what I heard from my friend.
