Hi guys- I was wondering if anyone had any direct experience with this 5 speed trans?  It was found in the late 90s SLK and 250td models.  I am curious how about the shift action subjectively compares to other m103/m104 5 speeds.  I have a dual mass m104 flywheel that would work with this trans, but have found little info on it on the net.

USA spec with the swing shift link.
the rest of us got 6 speed 716.6xx boxes on 203's / 170/171s.

DMF will have nothing to do with shift quality.
Nothing wrong with a properly functioning 717.4xx with the rod style shift linkages. especially when you get rid of the shit rubber selector shaft bushes.
