Looking for a clutch upgrade on my w202 OM605, Recommendations ideas welcomed!?! ?
Car is w202 OM605 with around 200-240bhp.
6mm EDC pump maxed out, remap  & 2871r turbo.

Currently stock 5 speed manual, dual mass & clutch. 240mm if I'm not mistaken?
Just started to slip.

Hope to retain dual mass to save my apparently weak 5speed 717.460 & maybe upgrade to 716.64 6 speed later date

I can get heavy duty paddle friction  plate, but my question is has anyone on here used this with stock dual mass & pressure plate?
Is this a waste of time, is it more likely to be the clamping force not enough causing the slip?

What other options do I have?

Was thinking out loud use paddle clutch plate stock fitment, combined with possibly a sprinter or a C270cdi pressure plate & cover or is it incompatible?

Does anyone produce a heavy duty pressure plate or clutch setup that does not cost the earth & not a 400+ Bhp capable unit.
Any help appreciated ?

Hy there, if u intend to install a 716 u´de better to use the W210 C270CDI, and in this case u can purchase the flywheel /clutch is plug and play , if u fear it will slip , install a sinter friction disk. its expensive but will hold that power u are talking about.
Fellas have reported the installation of sinter pads in the original 250TD clutch pack with success.
For more power, its difficult to say....
u got to go customized....

Thanks for the reply, I have found a few options so far I'm looking at retaining the stock flywheel, buy a new oem Sachs clutch kit.
Keep stock pressure plate & flywheel, get the friction plate rebuilt with high copper content heavy duty friction material at a place where they build clutches for earth movers etc.

Sorry I'm a bit confused about the comment about the 716 gearbox.
Do you mean get one from a w210 Cdi?
Or from a w203 Cdi?
Is one a more direct fit than the other in a w202?

What did you do? I have the same Problem on my brothers 605. Little remap and now the clutch is slipping.

I am looking for a clutch upgrade and still using the stock flywheel. No more than 200HP / 1.5bar boost. Maybe someone has a solution to this.
