Hello.

Few days ago i swapped my autobox for manual trans. I have M103 solid flywheel fitted with stock M103 clutch, but it is slipping even on stock settings. I am aiming for around 300hp in future, so looking for clutch to upgrade.

I found valeo kit for sprinter 826694, which should be ok at least for now. My question is, how much of step i need to take off from flywheel in order to pressure plate engage and disengage fully. I am trying to find that out for last 3 days but no success

M103 flywheel has mounting edge much higher than smf flywheel for sprinter which is the clutch kit designed for.

Thank you very much Smile

If the sprinter clutch is for a dual mass flywheel it probably won't work properly with the m103 flywheel ( you said solid flywheel). Would probably take a lot of machining to work if it would work.

You can get stronger pressure plates for the m103 flywheel that would probably solve the slipping. If you're going to machine the flywheel get the Sachs 765 pressure plate and clutch disc, that is a proven combo and a lot of people use that.

'98 E300 Turbo "Juliette" - Brabus wheels and almost all the options a w210 could have
'87 300D Turbo "Roxanne" - #22 head - 400E brakes - EGR Delete - 17" Staggered AMG 5 spoke rims from CLK500 - 5 Spd manual
2007 Chevy 2500HD CCSB Duramax with about 400-500 rwhp depending on the tune I use Big Grin
1983 300D Silver Exterior/Black inside - Sold and will be missed, may we never meet in a PnP.

The sprinter pressure plate is for SMF flywheel. PP765 is very expensive and also needs a lot of machining to FW. I can get sprinter clutch disk + pressure plate for 1/3 price of PP765 so thats why i am asking.

when you fix the clutch you will probably just break the gearbox =)

just to be clear:
you have an OM606 + M103 flywheel and you want to use a Valeo dual mass to single mass conversion clutch?

which transmission do you have behind the engine?
I am assuming you have a transmission designed for single mass clutch, maybe 711.x series.

If so, your best bet is sourcing a PP and FW for the M103 that is upgraded...that would perhaps be a little more expensive than the one you have in mind, but a whole lot easier and likely would last longer.

W123 Mods: 4 speed ** manual climate control ** '85 Kalitucky intake ** manual windows & full tint ** Euro headlights retrofit w/bixenon projectors ** 4 brake light mod ** Vogtland 50mm drop front & Lesjofors S600 drop rear springs ** 16" rims ** late w126 brake spindles, rotors & calipers ** full suspension rehab ** Bilstein HDs ** AL129X alternator & 1/0 starter and charging cables ** 300GD clutch/flywheel ** AFCO 80103N radiator & Earl's 41610 oil cooler ** custom block-off plate, remote oil filter & t-stat ** MW IP w/ tomnik's 6.5mm 'Holly' elements **

S124 Mods: 400E Rear subframe ** SL600 Brakes ** Late 300E 210mm diff ** SLK230 6 speed ** 17" CLK rims ** Vented RF Fender ** Facelift Hood, Headlights, and Lower Cladding **

you want to mount this kit with m103 flywheel?? so i wouldn't do it because i have mounted valeo kit in my car,  i thought it can hold about 1,2 bar boost (stock turbo), but it is slipping now Smile. I can say, my om606 and 2,47 diff kill my valeo kit Big Grin

My setup:
-valeo single mass flywheel conversion kit to dual mass gearbox from sprinter 2,2cdi
-stock turbo
-2,47 diff with 225 tires Smile
-717.450 gearbox
