Lads,

I'm getting to the stage where I'm putting everything back together, and buying a new intercooler.

I've read a lot online about intercooler efficiency and size vs pressure loss, but experience tells me that anyone can write anything and stick it on a blog so I'm after some experience.

I need the intercooler core to be at least 550mm wide, to clear the radiator, so the height is going to be the variable. Is bigger always better, or should I stick with something 30-40% larger than stock?

My options are 600x400x76 600x300x76 or 550x250x50.

Boost pressure is going to be somewhere around 2-2.5bar.

This may sound ironic but bigger is literally always better lol

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..
