So in my quest for more power and better spool I have a new idea. I add another turbo on to my manifold paralell and have it so that since I can close the vanes in my HE351ve totally blocking that turbo so the small one would spool quick. Then as egp gets higher it will open the vanes on the HE351ve. So it wouldnt be a compound setup on the exhaust side but I would have it compound on the intake side to make higher boost. I am just not sure there would be enough exhaust flow to keep two turbos alive. Primary one would have to be very small.

i´m working in a gt23V in series with a hx 35 , for a 605. i have no targuets, it is mainly for testing.
I will have the GT23 ofline till 1.5k , then vanes will close to start rocking, boost will be controlled at 2bar , the 35 is downstream of the GT23, working by their own, once EGP reaches 2BAR a WG in the colector will open the remaining flow to the holset.

The theory behind the compressor map states that if u have X inlet pressure your result will be Y pressure ratio, so if u have 2 bar inlet with a pressure ratio of 1.5 u´ll be able to achieve 3.5.
so why not.
In your case u already have a big VNT , what would u hook with it? it might not be the best solution, since this WG twin scroll holsets flow far better in high RPM conditions.

I've got the same holset & wonder if having a supercharger (eaton m90) blowing into the turbo would give you all the air you could ever wIsh to burn - early and would relieve the hot side from too much back pressure allowing the vanes to only get forced open when you're really on it.
Once the turbo is lit and building more boost than the sc can, an integrated bypass would allow airflow around the rotors.
To me, supercharging seems easier & cheaper than adding another turbo but this is all from my head rather than experience.

Well its not MB but I am going to try twin turbo on R6 2.5L IDI.  Big Grin Turbos will be from 4 cylinder 1.7L version of that engine, with remap I got around 100kW from that smaller 4 pot sooo with my math it should give nice 150kW like twin turbo on 2.5L R6 with good spool and neverending top end. It will be simple setup, one turbo for 3 cylinders. Split intake 3+3 with equalisation tube between. 10mm VP37 EDC pump.
