Got a new one, I'll update with pics and progress soon. Been working on rear end so far.

Things to do, under way, completed.
(/) Ziecher strut bar
Front brace ala E500 to complete square the ziecher bar starts.
(/) H&R springs from previous go fast car 
(/) Bilstein sport from previous go fast car.
(/) Swapping out subframe complete from old go fast car to new one. All of the rubber was new and frankly was easier to drop rear end than pulling the ASD out. 
(x) DIY camber links from speedway (found that 1/2" bolt setup was a near perfect fit and should avoid the screeching people have reported.
(/) E55 AMG rear sway bar 20mm
(/) SL600 front sway bar 30mm 
(/) SL600 334mm/300mm brake config coming with appropriate m/c - booster as well. 
Getting turbo manifold (probably KKD? Since f-tune is busy from spring sale).
Having 3" turbo back made here. 
Mating my Dieselmeken 125cc pump with HX35.
Not sure what to do about I/C, the one I had was 3" piping and seemed overkill but is sitting waiting for me to use free of charge.
Getting my 87 300E trans rebuilt

Bets on what goes first? NA engine or trans? Both?

There is some minor interior stuff that needs work as well.

I am betting on trans. Who is rebuilding the trans? Throw some type f in there, should help with the longevity somewhat. Also check eBay, I got a bunch if Redline IID for cheap if you want to keep it close to original. 

Do you still have that 12cm HX30?

Sounds like another great 124. Is KKD still offering the 606 manifold? Doesn't seem available.

Check with whipple to see what he thought of the KKD manifold in a W124 (he still had to fab). You could always put that DPUK abomination adapter on your stock 606 manifold while waiting for F-tune to get caught up.

I never said it because I didn't want to be a dick but I thought your IC was a restriction. The '95 will have a thinner condenser giving you more room for a tried and true IC setup behind the grille.

What tried and true setup is that?

Internal flow area of the charge air channels is too small for the application. The end tanks offered a very short transition from charge tubing IC core. It is a significant restriction. Once restriction gets to a certain point, you're better off with no intercooler at all. If you do the math on this page, you'll see the internal flow area is way, way too small. Factor in the fact that these engine need a lot of air to make their HP and the issue only gets worse. 

The angle of the IC requires the cooling air to change direction to pass through. A behind the grill setup will have the air go straight through the IC and have the benefit of forced air from the cooling fan.

The "tried and true" comment? I meant behind the grille, above the bumper. Get as thick a core as you can fit with decent end tanks. Basically, all the builds that make good power without cutting the front bumper off have a similar A/A IC setup.

I favor the vertical flow intercoolers as opposed the the horizontal flow IC's because the offer more charge air channel area and shorter charge air runs, but that's on-paper talk. It's hard to ignore the success of the horizontal flow setups.
