Now I've seen this car before, he has a few videos on Youtube. He's running a compound turbo setup and a lowered compression ratio.
I'd like to know whether he's using the stock rods or billet jobs...

i would like to know what the compounds he is using are. from the videos it sounds like it behaves well right off of idle. for the amount of fuel being shoved in there it didn't smoke that much.

Eh, only a PR of around 5, with a 100+mm exducer you can easily get that with a single. Would need nitrous to spool it quickly though, and a very low trim wheel (like you'd find on a k33), is something of a rarity. Most with more normal trim wheels will surge bad on a small diesel at high PR, because the mass flow is still very low.
