Hello.
Id like your opinion on the position of the turbo after installing adapter.
Im building a stock car. Estate.
Its an avangadre 1997 with avarage chassis but with unmolested inside, motor , gearbox, brakes, diff.
I just purchased it for 1500euro
I have a hx35 with waistgate.

I have dowloaded from internet all needed flanges, triangle for exhaust manifold (will be bigger hole in it by 5mm . The upper part is thick enough.) Than i had a beta version laser cut from available 6mm steel. It was not perfect, so after corrections in autocad we have cut out final version . 4 triangle kkk flanches and 4 t3 single flanches to use up all of the 10mm steel plate. (Let me know if you want one for 10 usd) +shipping

I made the turbo oil cable. The bottom oil line  will be a longer pipe.

I made the new housing 100mm diameter for airflow meter after k&n air filter.
I also have a cheap chinese boost meter installed in achtray, and 10 liters o  valvoline vr1 racing 10w60 oil

We will abso make a water bypass from under the thermostate to 5-6 cylinder as dieselmeken discribed in his video.

I have a guy in Kielce Poland that can do a remap and stage 1 is squizing what we can form stock 6.0 element. I hope 120-130ccm fuel is possible? Stage 2 would be 7.5 mm elemets, but it depends on the money.

Cat out. 78 mm.

What do you think about the position of the engine. I think its too close to engine at least 2 cm. What do you think?

Jak  masz flansze dodatkowe to mogę je przygarnąć, możesz zrobić fotkę tej pod holseta??

Hi Erio, capacity 6mm ip it should by about 90cc, 7mm ip  120cc, 7,5 ip  190cc, 8mm 230cc

So I have the car up and running.
I had an oil leak from turbo return oil pipe, couldn't test it properly by the guy that was performing remaping.  Oil leak is fixed now.

I also got valvoline vr1 racing  oil engine 10w60 synthetic.

I'm writing this post because I am a little diapointed. I dont have black smoke.

I would like to have some to know that  car has too much fuel at a time.

Its a stock fuel pump.
6mm elements.
Egr welded shut.
No catalist, instead 3 inch pipe to exhaust.
I have 100mm intake tube with air flow sensor in a bigger diameter tube and k&n filter. I can hear turbo starting spooling at 2000rpm, but kick of fuel apears only at 3000rpm.
I have a vw boost sensor working in 0-3 bar  range - instead of factory 0-2,5bar. (2bar boost instead of 1,5 boost)
I have eprom sockets welded in and a new map on new eproms.
WG is vaccum operated but vaccum controller is bypassed because it never gives vaccum to WG when connected. Today I did block WG manualy shup at all times. After hiting 27 psi I have to stop engine for 10 seconds. The remap guy have set 1,85 bar fuel cutoff. I will tell him to disable it in ver.2

The soft has stock settings of fuel  till 3000rpm (I will have in ver.2 ful rising starting 2000rpm. 3000 is too late). Than fueling starts to go up till 4200rpm and than its supposed to give full fuel till Rev limit -  5200.(I will have him move rev limit to 5500.
Boost limit is 1.8 boost. (I will have him in soft ver 2. move this much higher or disable. Old manual WG control will open WG when boost is around 30psi. No computer fuel cut off)

Problems:
no black smoke at any time(to conservative mapping?) I was expecting black smoke on low boost that disapears once boost comes in like on this movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FYttMIdUmA

Sometimes full throttle gives only 10 psi boost and poor acc (untill 10 second engine switch off ... this is this mode that engine goes in after reaching 1,85 bar boost), and sometimes 25 psi boost and around 220hp acceleration.  I feel power at 4200rpm. Not as much as I expected tho...
The guy that did remap  did get 27 psi safety boost and fuel emergency cut off.  . 10 second ignition off and it disapears. . I never got to 27psi limp mode.(edit: I got to 26 psi tat is 1,85 bar and it did cut fuel thats why i didnt cross it. )

Isit the intake(its fine)? Is it intercooler air leak (rather not)? Is it 6 mm element not giving fuel? Where to look.
Is WG not closed all the way?(now yess, manualy blocked , will never open)

Going not to inspect for leaks of boost and intake  rebuild- maf just in front of turbo. Ideas?

I just got back from test driving. I did rebuild intake, no filter, MAF directly in front of turbo.
WG blocked manualy shut.
I can get 1,85 boost and than emergency cut off gets in the way. I have to turn off the car and wait 10 seconds. (I will disable this crappy safety )

( is the diameter of tube where MAF is installed - 100mm -  important for mapping?)

I figure my next step is to connct tester to the electrical governer controller and see if on full throttle it gives 6v. 6v is full rack travel ??

danm If I only could know how much fuel my stock pump is giving at 27 boost.

Time to call my remap guy  and make changes:
1. Delete stupid 1,85 bar max, limiter (I will control WG manualy by connecting line from boost to WG controller. 2 BAR makes WG start shutting)
2. 5500 rpm max. I have good oil in, It will handle 5500.
3. instead of more fuel from 3000rpm and full at 4200-5000 I will start adding more fule than stock at 2000rpm to peak max fuel  at 3000rpm-5500rpm.
4. Instal voltometer on pump to see controll voltage duting full throttle driving.

Should I modify pump in any way ?
should I change injection timing to other than stock ?

Max pump voltage is 4.65 before fuel cut I believe.
You can map the egr and airflow meter out of your car.
1.7bar is max the map sensor can see for that ecu.
You definitely want additional fuelling from 2000. Get that turbo going sooner.

You could try a zener diode MAP clamp circuit to limit max MAP voltage but you'll need to keep an eye on boost gauge to make sure you're not over boosting.

Also increase off boost fueling for better response. Stock is extremely conservative. No need to limit fueling until high rpm, limit it based on boost.

one solution is to fit a 4 or 5 bar map sensor and rescale the maps on the ecu then youll get extra head room before boost limit kicks in and shuts down the ecu.
Mine overboost , shutdown and popped a pipe last night. 75psia sensor ordered so that doesnt happen again.

Would you please be so nice and direct me to a place in map (address) there is voltage to boost pressure linearisation ? I have a Mapsensor from VW that works in 0-4bar range (3 bar boost ) but cmputer gets crazy readings on ignition, because voltage range is different for mercedes mapsensor (1,66V ignition 1,024bar) and 0,9V I guess for Audi mapsensor at 1 bar. that means computer thinks its broken and goes to default constant readout. my email is ernestnoway at gma il co,m
