So when I found my water pump was leaking, I started the tedous process of taking all the hoses of.  I noticed I was losing coolant under the turbo.  Found that coolant was coming out the electrical connector, need to replace.  I noticed that the freeze plug is threaded, no clue what size though.  I was about to buy one of those rubber expanding plugs, I've used then before, but was wondering if anyone could tell me the thread size first. Wish I never used this thing as it states leaking when i started using it.

You had to use your block heater in Roswell??

It was one of those things that I found the plug, plugged it in when it got down below 20° (I leave for work before the sun comes up) and a few days later I found the leak. Unfortunately I didn't like how the rubber plug sat in it so I need a factory plug or will have to get another heater.

I only have to plug mine in if it gets below 0F. And I don't think I would have to do that, but the 15w40 I run get VERY thick when it's that cold and hinders it from rolling over very quickly.

Look on eBay! They might have something cheaper than autohaus or something. I think I have a used one, but for as much work as they are to get to and put in idk if I'd mess with used. But that's up to you

I caved and got a new one ordered. I still have to put the test of my car back together. Might finish it before March.

Wish I had seen this earlier. No sealant on the threads, the o-ring does the sealing. Part# for the blank plug is FB-1179970230  4$ w/o-ring

Well it looks like I get to see if this plug you linked is going to work for me, the block heater I got was too small, won't fit...
